Ballinderreen is a small village in south Galway between Kilcolgan and

Kinvara. Ballinderreen N.S. was built in 1857.  It is one of the oldest

national schools in the country.  

It has beautiful cut stone at the front. There is a preservation order

on this part of the building because of its architectural beauty.

The school celebrated it's 150th anniversary in 2007.   

We are very proud of our school hurling team - winners of the

Cumann na mBunscol county final 2010!
